Who We Are
Ossipee Mountains Habitat for Humanity (OMHFH) serves central New Hampshire. For more than 30 years we have been building new affordable, decent homes for families. Our office is based in Wolfeboro, but our Partner Families reside in Freedom, Ossipee, Wakefield, and Wolfeboro.
Our volunteers include local people and those who visit the vast array of lakes in the area, including Lake Winnipesaukee. Seasonal people who volunteer often help other Habitat affiliates during their season away from NH.
Who We Serve
We serve communities east of Lake Winnipesaukee, including the towns of Alton, Brookfield, Effingham, Freedom, Ossipee, Tuftonboro, Wakefield, and Wolfeboro.
Qualifying for a Home
The process for applying for a home takes some time. One must apply during an open application period, which is announced publicly via media outlets. Applicants are first screened for qualifying factors and then extensively interviewed by an impartial committee. See the “Apply for Home” tab to learn more about the process of homeownership.
